International competition for designers.

The Barlinek Institute of Design has just commenced the third edition of its competition for architects and designers, as well as all those for whom design is pure pleasure. As in previous years, "Creations of nature" is more than just a competition – it's a comprehensive plan of Barlinek's cooperation with designers.

This time, participants were asked to prepare a design that will be a creative interpretation of the slogan "Board of the future." The concept is to be an idea, a thought, the way they imagine the product in our lives in 10-15 and maybe even in 20 years.

The competition is expanding its reach to young and talented people in the industry. This year's edition also features designers from Russia, Romania and Ukraine. The competition consists of two stages. In the first stage, participants will present their general concept of the board (including a mood board illustrating their source of inspiration for the project, but they will also have the chance to present their interior design skills). In the second, selected participants will be invited to dedicated workshops, where they will develop their projects and gain new skills under the guidance of Barlinek experts. The result of this work will be the final project submitted to the competition.

The competition aims to select the most talented, passionate and imaginative designers of the young generation – those who are able to understand the market and will be able to translate their knowledge into practice in business. As every year, the competition designs will be judged not only by Barlinek representatives, but also authorities in the fields of architecture and design: head of the competition jury – Przemo Łukasik (Medusa Group), Agnieszka Stefańska (Infinity-Design), Iwona Gach (Design Alive), Tomasz Błuszkowski (Forma Studio), and also Szymon Hanczar (Hanczar Studio).

The final gala of the competition and the award ceremony will take place in October during this year's edition of the Lodz Design Festival.
