CREATIONS FROM NATURE AT THE BARLINEK FACTORY!!

The finalists of the Creations from Nature contest organised by Barlinek Institute of Design visited the producer's factory. There they took part in craft workshops preparing them for the competition's final task.

During their three day stay at Barlinek, the 15 teams of Creations from Nature finalists had the opportunity to look around the factory and get to know the Barlinek board production process.

The most important element of the meeting were the craft workshops preparing them for the final task – designing a pattern for a floor for next year's version of the Tastes of Life collection. These were overseen by representatives of Barlinek's R&D department, which is responsible for implementing new products. This was the source of a range of valuable theoretical information and practical hints which will no doubt prove helpful when working on the final projects.

The Creations from Nature competition was organised by Barlinek Institute of Design — a platform founded by Barlinek for collaboration with architects and designers, currently only functioning on the Polish market. The competition will be resolved in October during the prestigious Łódź Design Festival. The winners will receive cash prizes and the chance to bring their designs to life in the latest Tastes of Life collection.

The competition's partner is Design Alive magazine. The project is being promoted at the most prestigious design events and festivals in Poland and abroad..
