Barlinek receives an award in Sweden
The Polish Embassy in Stockholm has awarded our company the Mercurius prize for success on the Swedish market.
The Polish-Swedish Business Gala ceremony at the Polish Embassy in Stockholm, at which two Polish companies were awarded — Solaris Bus & Coach as well as Barlinek — was held on Thursday 26 January 2017.
"Until recently it was us who looked to the Swedes to learn how to do business. Now the time has come for Polish companies in Sweden," said Wiesław Tarka, the Ambassador in Stockholm. The host of the event emphasised that both of the companies honoured were typified by modernity and innovation.
"The Swedish market is not an easy one, there is strong competition here from local manufacturers. However, we managed to convince customers of our quality, and we no longer have to explain what Barlinek is," – said Barbara Matusiak, Barlinek's Scandinavia market manager.
It is worth mentioning that the Barlinek Floor has twice won an independent test conducted by the Technical Research Institute of Sweden.
The Mercurius prize is a statuette, specially designed for the occasion by the Poznań artist Klaudia Grygorowicz-Kosakowska, representing a wing. The new award is to be presented each year by the Polish Embassy in Stockholm to "entrepreneurs to be commended for promoting Polish business in Sweden."
