Brushed board
What distinguishes a brushed board from a smooth one? Its appearance, which emphasizes the natural beauty of wood. On brushed boards, cracks, knots and above all the graining, which is tactile, are clearly visible. A Barlinek board with a brushed top layer resembles an aged traditional wooden floor. It works great in both classic and modern arrangements. It looks very impressive when laid over a large area, e.g. in lofts.
The brushing process involves removing the soft parts of wood from the wear layer using metal brushes. Brushing emphasizes the grain of the board, giving it a characteristic appearance. All brushed boards are finished with natural oil or matte varnish.

BRUSHED BOARDS IN THE BARLINKA OFFER
In Barlinka’s offer, you can find brushed boards finished with various types of carefully selected hardwood. Among them, brushed oak is very popular, which is available in various shades, e.g. bleached or gray. In addition, Barlinka also offers brushed ash wood floors. Barlinek boards are available in various colors, with different intensities of wood features, and the number of strips (wooden planks on the top layer) on the board. Brushed floors are finished with matte varnish or oil.
INSTALLATION OF A BRUSHED FLOOR
Brushed boards are installed in the same way as all other Barlinek boards. On their longer edges there are glueless click locks, and on the shorter ones Barlock 5Gc locks. Thanks to them, laying brushed boards in a floating system is easy and quick. What’s more, it doesn’t require much experience.
We recommend that all Barlinka varnished floors, including brushed varnished floors, should be additionally protected with the Protektor Blask product (it can be applied with a mop), which will protect the brushed places and the connections between the boards against dust and dirt. We recommend to protect the floors oiled with natural oil with the care product Wax Care Plus.
BRUSHED BOARD FROM BARLINKA – REGULAR RENEWAL AND CARE
The care products that we use to protect brushed floors right after laying should also be used during periodic care. On a daily basis, it is enough to simply vacuum the brushed floor. More difficult stains should be removed with a cloth with Protektor Komplet for varnished floors or Magic Cleaner for oiled floors.
